The goal of Life Prescribed is to incorporate healthy habits into life so they are not hassles. Wellness should be woven into the fabric of our lives so we don’t feel like we are making some huge effort to have to stay moving, healthy, fit…well. Wellness allows us to live the life we want-to be able to do the things we want, when we want, and with whom we want. To be functional is to be able to do what life calls upon us to do. If we are really in control of our own world, we dictate this calling.
I have 6-month-old, Mateo, and we do our morning routine together every morning. He lies, and rolls, while I get my old bones and joints moving. We share that time every morning. The best part about it is that it will just be something that he does growing up. He won’t have to adopt this practice as I did. It will be part of his life and something that is normal for him. He will have this tool that allows him to easily set his positive/peak state every morning. That is the real reward. To be able “do” life with our families.
